Academic Faculty Member Historical Musicology
Your tasks:
- conduct independent research in the field of historical musicology, writing a doctoral thesis
- teach a course load of one class per term (2 SWS)
- advise and supervise students, and participate in examinations
- participate in organizational and administrative tasks
- participate in the development and elaboration of proposal ideas for research projects
Your profile:
- Above-average university degree (master's degree or state examination) in historical musicology or a comparable subject with a musicological focus
- Willingness to pursue academic qualifications (with preliminary considerations of a doctoral project in historical musicology)
- Experience in academic work
- Interest in lecturing and publishing activities
- Interest in interdisciplinary issues and cooperations
- Familiarity with academic procedures and structures
- very good command of written and spoken English
- independent and solution-oriented approach to work
- good planning and organizational skills
In addition to the general requirements according to public services law, applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in § 57 of the Hochschulgesetz of Rhineland-Palatinate.

This is a part-time position (50%), which is paid according to EG 13 TV-L. It is to be filled immediately, and is limited to a period of three years. An extension for the completion of the doctoral thesis is possible within the time limits of the WissZeitVG for another three years.
The position serves the purpose of academic qualification (doctorate).
