WHO WE ARE:


Our chair focuses on issues of commercial law. In particular, corporate and capital market law. In addition, we are also interested in questions of regulatory theory, in particular law enforcement. In doing so, we also like to work in a comparative law context and take social science findings into account.

In teaching, we cover a broad spectrum of compulsory civil law courses as well as the sub-focus 1.1 (Corporate and Capital Markets Law). We also offer the basic course “Introduction to Legal Economics”.

Are you interested in business law and issues of legal economics and regulatory theory? Are you also considering a doctorate in these areas and looking forward to legal work in a motivated and committed team? Then you will fit in with us!

Your tasks:

  • Support in legal research according to the orientation of the chair
  • Preparation of teaching materials and courses
  • Independent preparation and implementation of study groups for students as part of the teaching load
  • Independent academic work and further training with the aim of obtaining a doctorate

Your profile:

In addition to the general requirements according to public services law, applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in § 57 of the Hochschulgesetz of Rhineland-Palatinate.

  • Completed first law examination with a minimum grade of fully satisfactory
  • Interest in issues of private law and in particular commercial law
  • Openness towards (behavioral) economic research approaches
  • Very good written and spoken German language skills
  • Solid knowledge of written and spoken English

The position is paid according to EG 13 TV-L and to be filled at the earliest possible date. The position is limited to a period of three years.

The position serves the purpose of academic qualification (doctorate).
